MFAT ELECTION PROTECTION & SAFETY CALL GUIDE

All Day, 1/5/2021

Note: Our message has more impact when we can share the hard work of actual constituents in the Falls. If possible, please have someone take a photo of you making your calls today and email or text it to us. Our contact info is: 262.735.5959 calls & texts / organizing@mfactionteam.com.

GOALS

  1. To stand up for the people’s vote in this past fall’s free and fair Wisconsin election (“the election”).
  2. To remind Sen. Ron Johnson that he represents every Wisconsinite and we will hold him accountable when he doesn’t uphold his oath of office.
  3. To get Rep. Scott Fitzgerald on the record about the plan by GOP lawmakers in the House to object to the results of the election that put him in office.
  4. To support the funding and COVID-19 plan of the Menomonee Falls Public Library.

CALL RON JOHNSON (202) 224-5323 DC office
if no answer, call MKE office (414) 276-7282

  1. When you call, a legislative assistant will answer the phone.
  2. Tell them your first name and that you are a constituent from Menomonee Falls.
  3. In direct, clear language, say that Ron Johnson should certify the Electoral College results without objection or conditions.
  4. Explain that you heard statements by Senator Johnson say that he does not plan to certify the election results. By doing so, he would be silencing the votes of his constituents.
  5. Say that you will remember what Johnson does when he is up for reelection next year.
  6. They will ask if you need a response. In this instance, it’s better if you say you don’t. That way, they can tally you down without having to go through the extra step of adding you to their response database.
  7. The more people that call his office, the less detail the assistants will write down. Getting straight to the point makes things easier for everyone — including others who are waiting for their phone calls to be answered by the office staff.
